Weigh-in: 138.0 - down another 0.2 pound - not good in the scheme of things. Last time I loaded I think I gained 3 pounds. This time I lost 0.4 pound.
Breakfast: 62 oz. of water, a cup of unsweetened green tea & a handful of strawberries.
Lunch: A green smoothie consisting of: 1 banana, 1 orange, 1 apple, 1/8 cup flax seeds, 3 leaves of romaine lettuce, 2 leaves of kale, 1 leaf of chard, a handful of spinach and a shot of wheatgrass juice.
I know this may sound nasty & in all honesty it's not at all appealing to the eye. However, it doesn't taste half as bad as it sounds or looks. The fruits actually sweeten it. I think the orange & banana tastes dominate. I don't have a high powered blender like a Vita Mix. So I did have bits of leaves & the blender did nothing to the flax seeds. So the smoothie is minimally chewy.
Dinner: When I made the above-mentioned smoothie, it was enough for two servings so I had half for lunch & the other half for dinner.
After dinner snack: another handful of strawberries.
One has to wonder will I waste away eating like this. However, I look forward to the energy spike that this will provide me with. Lord knows I need it. I have a lot on my plate right now & I really would like to start doing some toning exercises or at least just take the time to walk daily.
I never mentioned it before but I do take supplements. Daily I take two tablespoons of organic MSM powder. I dump a tablespoon in my first 62 oz. of water for the day & then another tablespoon in my last 62 oz. of water for the day. I'm heavy into hair so most of the supplements I take are for my hair. I'm sure they have other health properties but I only know about the benefits for my hair. They are: L-Lysine, N-Cysteine, Fo-ti Root & a Hair, Skin & Nails vitamin that has oregano, sage, rosemary & horsetail herb in it. I also take a Calcium/Vitamin D & a super algae that has spirulina , blue-green algae & chlorella in it. Oh, I'm also taking B-12 for energy here & there & some oregano & olive leaf herb extracts to try & eliminate Candida.
I know I'm way behind on progress pics. I honestly meant to take one this morning. I promise I will get one up soon.
